Global Risk Profile releases indexes on corruption & ESG risks

Geneva, May 22, 2019 – Global Risk Profile (GRP) launches two new risk indexes in response to tightening regulatory trends: the Global Corruption Index and the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Index, both available on

Covering 199 countries, the Global Corruption Index (GCI) provides a comprehensive overview on the state of corruption throughout the world. Composed of 28 variables, the GCI relies on data provided by internationally recognized entities, such as the UN and the World Bank. “Our index includes innovative indicators that capture the complexity of corruption, including both private and public corruption, as well as country characteristics,” says Joël Pastre, CEO and founder of GRP.”

The ESG Index (ESGI) is an easy to use and unique dataset on socially responsible conducts. Based on international references such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Global Compact, the 8 ILO fundamental conventions and the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), the ESGI encompasses three key dimensions: the environment, human rights and health & safety. In line with trending legislations aimed at preventing major environmental and human rights violations, it provides a global score for 177 countries based on 45 carefully structured variables.

With these indexes, GRP therefore strives to fill the gap for urgently needed tools in the globalized, international market arena. “After more than a year of R&D and dedicated effort, I am extremely proud to present these complementary indexes specifically targeted for risk management professionals to facilitate the implementation of adequate policies,” adds Joël Pastre. “The development of the GCI and the ESGI are of paramount importance for effective risk evaluation in compliance with anti-corruption regulations such as the FCPA, the UK Bribery Act and the Law Sapin II, as well as the Modern Slavery Act and the French law Duty of Vigilance from an ESG perspective.”

The indexes website ( features interactive maps and quick access to essential country-by-country information. As it strives to offer visitors with a robust information service on corruption and ESG-related issues, GRP will update the website and its contents on a regular basis.

GRP also exclusively offers the possibility to customize the indexes according to the user’s specific needs, making it easy to integrate into any existing compliance system or process.

GRP wishes visitors the best experience!
